1.) What are the benefits, privileges of membership?

·         Opportunity to engage with members of our community

·         A sense of doing something of benefit in our lives and in the lives of others

·         Providing an opportunity to give back

·         Honor those who have benefited from the services of St. Michael's

·         Develop more fully an attitude of compassion, caring and concern

·         A greater sense of well being

·         Living guilt free

2.) What are the duties and responsibilities of a member?

·         Attend monthly meetings

·         Volunteer to do the things that interest you

3.) Is there criteria for membership?

·         A willingness to help

4.) Is the Foundation required to have members?

·         A minimum of four members are required

5.) Is a membership fee required?

·         $5 per year is the membership fee

6.) Is there any potential legal liability to the Foundation &/or Directors by recruiting and signing up members?

·         Full directors insurance is in place

·         Directors acting in good faith are legal liability free

7.) What is required to ‘sign up’ a new member?

·         Application Form

·         Confidentiality Acknowledgment form

·         Photo Consent form

·         Criminal Record Check

9.) What ‘membership maintenance’ is required?

·         Yearly dues collection and current addresses updated if they change

10.) Who is responsible for processing & maintaining memberships, communication and activities, etc.?

·         Board Chair oversees this and is usually done during the monthly board meeting the month prior to the AGM.
